I live for stories: telling and listening. Rolling Stone , Spin, record company crazy. Pre-internets copyediting on pasteboards and writing on typewriters. Now, InCopy and InDesign making magic.
My formative years were Seattle early 90s. You know what that means (begins with a G, ends with some tragedy, but really the sound & fury still lives on).
I love 'em. Watching. Writing about. Seeing what they'll do next.
I came to NYC from California in 1984. It was a lot different here then. I came to write and be around music and that's what I've managed to do for over 30 years. I've had the pleasure to watch bands go from little to big, big to little. I still carry all that in my heart even if CBGB is now a John Varvatos clothing shop. My writing still sustains me and keeps me coming back every day. (Update from the land of 2020: I've recently relocated to Southern California with my beloved to hang out with my dad. If you want to get a peek, he's featured in a few of my blog posts.)
I love individual style. I try to only shop at thrift stores or places where I feel confident they treat workers fairly. This website is my go-to for info on ethical companies. https://goodonyou.eco/
It's a thing. I'm trying. I'm meditating. Life is...
I love to commune with little fishies while breathing under water.
